What is Call Reporting?

        Phone calls are an important lead type for business owners. To help advertisers understand the calls they get on Yelp, we offer free call reporting to advertisers so they can track the time and duration of the calls to their business from customers who found them on Yelp. After call reporting is enabled, the business page will automatically update with a new phone number that connects to the business phone number. 
        This feature also allows advertisers to understand how many customers called them after finding their business on yelp.com (rather than the Yelp app).
        If your business is currently not enrolled in a Yelp advertising program, but you are interested in advertising on Yelp, you can learn more about Yelp Advertising or call (877) 767-9357 to get started today.         To enable call reporting

        1. Click Yelp Ads from the left side of Yelp for Business while you are logged in

        2. Look for the "Get more accurate call reporting" section and click Activate

        Please note that currently call reporting is only available through biz.yelp.com, and not through other platforms such as the Yelp for Business app.

        To turn off call reporting

        1. Click Yelp Ads from the left side of Yelp for Business while you are logged in

        2. Look for “Calls to your business” section and click on the arrow in the upper right corner

        3. Look for “Turn off Call Reporting” and click Turn off Call Reporting

        4. Click Yes, turn off to confirm

         

        FAQs

        Why does my phone number have to change?
        We replace your phone number with a forwarding number in order for you to receive deeper insights on the calls that your business receives from customers who found your business on Yelp. For each call, you can see the date of the call, a partial phone number, and the call duration.
        Can I turn off call reporting if I no longer want it?
        Yes, you can turn off call reporting by going to the “Yelp Ads” tab on the left side of the Yelp for Business Owners site. Your previous Call Reporting data will be removed and you'll lose the ability to track the time and duration of calls to your business.
        Your call forwarding number will be removed from your business page on Yelp within 24-48 hours and your original business phone number will take its place. 
        Can I receive texts?
        Yelp’s free call reporting does not currently support text messages.
        What happens to my call reporting number if I pause my ads?
        Your call forwarding number will be removed from your business page on Yelp within 24-48 hours and your original business phone number will take its place. Once you resume your ads you’ll be assigned a new phone number. 
        The previous phone number will continue to forward to your business phone number for 90 days, in the case that someone wrote the number down to call you later.
